Ricky Redford 

Ricky brings a rare and valuable perspective to Gray Broughton Injury Law, built on 13 years of service as a police officer with the Richmond Police Department before transitioning into civil law. During his tenure with RPD, Ricky rose to the rank of Corporal (Master Patrol Officer), investigating countless motor vehicle collisions and criminal cases while continuously sharpening his skills through advanced training and specialized schools. His dedication to the community was recognized with multiple Officer of the Month honors and the department’s Medal of Valor for actions taken during a critical incident.

After leaving law enforcement, Ricky spent two years as an investigator with another personal injury law firm, where he immersed himself in the field and developed a deep understanding of case investigation and the client intake process. That experience, paired with his background in crash and criminal investigation, gives him a sharp eye for detail and a genuine understanding of what clients are going through when they reach out for help.

Today, as an Intake Specialist with Gray Broughton Injury Law, Ricky is often the first voice a prospective client hears. He sees this role as a natural continuation of his life’s work: where he once answered 911 calls to help people in crisis, he now answers the call of injured Virginians in their time of need. Ricky takes pride in guiding new clients through one of the most stressful moments of their lives with the same care, competence, and commitment he brought to every call as a police officer.

Outside of the office, Ricky is a proud husband and father who loves spending time with his family. He enjoys watching sports, working around the house, and achieving some quiet time through video games.
