Meet Courtney Murphy, Executive Assistant
Courtney Murphy serves as Executive Assistant to Gray Broughton, providing administrative support and office management for both Gray and the firm. She brings over two decades of professional experience across finance, operations, law enforcement administration, and customer service management to her role — a background that translates directly into the fast-paced, detail-driven demands of a personal injury practice.
A Virginia native who grew up in Pittsylvania County, Courtney attended Hargrave Military Academy before earning a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Virginia Tech.
Prior to joining the firm, Courtney served as Administrative Assistant to the Chief of Police for the City of Justin Police Department in Texas, where she managed departmental operations, including scheduling, procurement, budget administration, and compliance with public records regulations. Earlier in her career, she spent over a decade at Sony Ericsson/Sony Mobile Communications in roles of increasing responsibility spanning financial analysis, inventory planning, and sales operations.
Courtney’s current responsibilities include managing office logistics, coordinating with vendors and staff, and ensuring the firm’s daily operations run efficiently. She takes pride in cultivating a well-organized, welcoming office environment and seeing projects through from inception to completion.
Outside of the office, Courtney enjoys golfing, fishing, and spending time with her daughter and two cats.
