Jon brings deep operational expertise and a commitment to disciplined execution to Gray Broughton Injury Law, ensuring the firm delivers exceptional service and results for clients across Virginia.
A graduate of the Virginia Military Institute, Jon met Sharif Gray during their training as cadets nearly two decades ago. That foundation of leadership, honor, and resilience carried Jon into service as a Ranger qualified Infantry officer in the Army for eight years, where he honed skills in high-stakes decision-making, team building, and mission-focused performance under pressure.
Following his military career, Jon earned his MBA from the University of Texas McCombs School of Business and built a career in finance and operations. He advanced from Associate to Vice President at Goldman Sachs, gaining rigorous experience in strategic analysis and execution before serving as an operator at VORTO, a private equity backed start-up at the intersection of AI and 3PL. Following his time at VORTO, Jon was recruited to be the Chief Operating Officer of Kansas Feeds, one of the largest manufacturers of liquid cattle feed in the country. Across these operational roles, Jon has excelled at scaling operations, optimizing processes, building high-performing teams, and driving sustainable growth across organizations.
As COO of Gray Broughton Injury Law, Jon applies this proven expertise to support the firm’s trial attorneys and dedicated staff. He focuses on operational excellence: streamlining case management, enhancing client experiences, strengthening infrastructure, and positioning the firm for continued growth, while upholding the military discipline and client-first ethos that define the practice. His leadership ensures that the team can focus relentlessly on preparing every case for trial and fighting for maximum recoveries for injured Virginians.
Outside of work, Jon and his wife are avid mountaineers. After five years in Colorado and many high alpine adventures, they now spend their time exploring the trails and mountains Virginia has to offer, with their young daughter along for the ride (usually on Jon’s back).
